If you are hungry for a local lunch option that's both budget and environmentally friendly, tuck your napkin into your collar because Lilly's Lunches has arrived!

Torontonian Elizabeth Callahan is winning hearts and minds all over the city with her industrious business venture: a homemade lunch service, delivered by bicycle. Elizabeth "Lilly", multi-tasking superstar has designed the menu, makes the delicious sandwiches, sides and desserts, and delivers the lunches to the downtown area on her Pashley delivery bicycle.

And this is no ordinary lunch. The menu is diverse and flavourful, with sandwiches like the Mancini: mozza, spicy salami, sopressata, arugula, and chili oil on honey glazed Italian bread. Or the Lilly (my personal fav) with spinach, grated beets & carrots, roasted almonds, sprouts and an incredible homemade sauce in a spinach wrap. Each lunch includes a sandwich, side and treat (the Bikini bread! Be still my heart!) wrapped up in a brown bag with a note like your mom used to leave.

Because Lilly makes the lunches to order, the easiest way to dine is to prebook your lunches, once a week (or more) for 4 weeks at a time - Curbside, for instance, gets lunch on Thursdays. Thursdays have officially become my favourite day of the week.
