Pinko Bike: The Waiting is the Hardest Part
Posted on 16 December 2010
While we wait, anxiously, hopefully, for a response to our open letter of Dec. 10th, we at Curbside Cycle are planning our next inevitable move: What do to with Don Cherry's unclaimed bicycle?
We've had numerous suggestions from readers, and have come up with what we think is the best solution: Donate it to Cherry's charity, the Darling Home for Kids.
Our dream is still to see Mr. Cherry riding on his shiny pink plaid Pashley, opening his eyes to the excitement, ease and practicality of city riding (and perhaps to the folly of acting like a mean-spirited bully in a public forum). Should that dream fail to come true, I can't think of a better than to support his charity and the wonderful work they do for children. We encourage fellow pinkos to add the Darling Home for Kids to their holiday gift giving list - a donation to Cherry's more worthy ventures supports the good works of public figures and the lives of children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses at once.
