In the North American bike industry it's strangely accepted that city cyclists don't really exist and that cycling means taking the bike out of the garage once a year, riding on paved paths (never the road!) and plunking your kids on some cheap child seat that wouldn't remotely pass testing if cycling actually meant riding in the city - which of course it does! So, not surprisingly the people who make the best child seats are Dutch and they do things very very right. First, these seats attach directly to the bike, not the rack, because racks can become terrifyingly loose with constant city riding. Not only does a YEPP seat mount to your bike better, it also is more comfortable (yes, that is Crocs foam), more adjustable, and it even locks onto your bike! Yep, it's true.
