Around the same time Curbside started boldly importing European city bikes a certain Mikeal Colville-Anderson started "Copenhagen Cycle Chic," a street-style website voted top-ten fashion blog by the Observer. So, what's the link between a little bike store importing city bikes and a streetstyle blog in Copenhagen? Curbside is in Toronto, and Mikeal originates from none other than Fort McMurray, Alberta. It's possible these Canadian origins helped both of us understand the challenges all too well - and the opportunities. We believe in Mikeal's "Cycle chic" manifesto. For too long the bicycle industry has presented a male-dominated, masochistic vision of sweat, pain and mud. And, that's what we're out to change. We believe cycling is glamorous. So, while Mikeal snaps photos of people in Burberry on bikes, we import the bikes that make this possible.
