BUSINESS SOLUTIONS

CUSTOM BUSINESS SOLUTIONS

The great thing about the bikes we sell to our retail customers is that they are perfectly suited for businesses or organizations too. Because quality city bikes and cargo bikes need to be low-maintenance, weather-resistant and comfortable, they're perfect for your organization - or the clients you serve. If you're a business with delivery vans stuck in downtown gridlock you can reduce cost, increase efficiency and elevate the visibility of your brand with a cargo bike. If you're a business or organization that wants to offer bikes as a head-turning, value-added service then look no further than our city bike brands.

Through our distribution company Fourth Floor, we've been providing business solutions for small and large companies for over a decade. To our clients we offer discounted volume pricing, the option of custom cabinetry and graphic design, fully tuned-and-assembled shipping anywhere in North America, and, if in Toronto; fleet service and maintenance. We sell to daycares, coffee shops, food delivery companies, banks, boutique hotels, and many more. If you have a project in mind, we'd love to hear about it, contact Eric at eric@curbsidecycle.com

HERSHEY CHOCOLATE - CANADA WIDE

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with custom-made box designed for easy snacking.

The Initial Problem

With the advent of legalized recreational cannabis use, Hershey saw a clever way to market their legendary Oh Henry bars to those who had "recreational hunger" after they got high. With a new bar named the 4:25, the campaign cleverly made good fun out of the hunger one gets five minutes after cannabis consumption. But, how to take this campaign to the streets?

Our Solution

We worked with our cabinetry team to design and build a totally custom box that could deliver snacks to all the places cars can't go but where people like to hang out; city parks, waterfront paths, and festivals.

NITRO TRIKE - IRVINE, CA

Coffee On The Go

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with totally custom insulated box featuring a solid wood table-top, swinging lid to access storage, and cut-out for Nitro tap.

The Initial Problem

Nitro Coffee wanted a quality, investment-grade bike made that could engage customers with Nitro Coffee without constant re-ups for freezer bags or supplies.

Our Solution

Orange County is a big place and also very hot. Nitro Coffee needed a solution that could visit multiple locations without visiting home base in between for more coffee or dry-ice/freezer bags. That meant a seriously insulated box with room for supplies like beans and water. If you're looking for a serious ice-cream bike, this is it.

UNITED WAY - VANCOUVER, BC

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with totally custom electrically-cooled box featuring removable canopy, storage (including battery compartment) and swinging lid to access product.

The Initial Problem

With a plan to engage one million "acts of local love" in the lower mainland by 2025, the United Way wanted a vehicle to promote this campaign while showing some local love themselves!

Our Solution

Designed to hand out artisinal berry popsicles, we needed to follow local legislation requiring electrical insulation for all frozen or cold consumables. Working with our team, we built a cooled insulated box, battery storage, and a custom canopy that catches lots of attention!

NESTLE FOODS - ACROSS CANADA

Brand Engagement Vehicles

The Design:

x3 Babboe City with standard box painted and modified with CNC foam "bubble" lid painted with die-cut vinyl decals.

The Initial Problem

Nestle needed a clever way to meet millenial consumers where they hung out so they could engage them (in a fun way!) with their super-hip, low-carb (and very tasty) bubbly water.

Our Solution

Part of much larger campaign that also featured two Toyota Prius cars, this was a big-budget campaign meant to make a serious impact. The theme was bubbles and we worked with our team to custom design a bubble shaped lid along with a bubble-blower mounted in the back to attract maximum attention.

UNION CHICKEN - TORONTO, ON

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with totally modified box featuring x2 side-leaf tables, x1 front-leaf table (with legs), interactive box for several iPads, CNC logo and front doors for storage access.

The Initial Problem

Based in the tight confines of Toronto's Union Station, Union Chicken needed a way to attract and engage hungry commuters and an events vehicle to take to the streets.

Our Solution

We worked with our team to heaviily modify the existing Dog's box into a spacious counter-top that could pack away easily and engage customers with a novel brand statement that simply can't be missed.

BIG ROCK BEER - TORONTO, ON

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original box and full vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

After purchasing an Icycle Tricycle brand bike that upon delivery was deemed unsafe (cheap quality frame and box, department-store quality drivetrain and brakes that couldn't possibly stop a 130lb bike plus rider ) Big Rock approached us for a better solution.

Our Solution

As wholesalers of Babboe, our customers get a Dutch quality bike that has a proven track record in the European market. Built on decades of experience, the frame is chip-and-rust resistant, the box is marine-grade wood, and all the parts are internally sealed (drum brakes and gear hubs) to ensure long life and low maintenance.

FJALLRAVEN - TORONTO, ON

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original box and full vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

Fjallraven is an aspirational outdoor brand from Sweden with high fashion street-cred. To build awareness of their new Toronto Flagship store they needed to meet their consumers where they hang and engage them in a fun way. Bonus points if they could get a unmistakable sandwich board and events bike too!

Our Solution

With a short timeline this project was as quick to produce as it is high-impact. The Fjallraven bike is an out-of-the-box Babboe Transporter with a vinyl wrap that our team helped produce with Fjallraven's graphic designers.

REDPATH SUGAR - TORONTO, ON

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with standard Dog box modified with added side and front fold-out shells. Painted white with die-cut vinyl graphics.

The Initial Problem

Redpath Sugar is one of the defining structures on Toronto’s old waterfront. With new condo’s and smart urban destinations appearing across its dock, Redpath wanted to connect its industrial heritage with the emerging residential area outside its gates.

Our Solution

We worked with Redpath to build a custom box for Redpath’s cargo bike that featured grab-and-go storage and the option for a folding-leaf table-top. The bike, nicknamed “Bab’s” was part of Redpath’s highly engaging “Acts of Sweetness” campaign that visited locations across Toronto and Southern Ontario.

FOODORA - ACROSS CANADA

Brand Vehicle

The Design:

x3 Babboe Transporter with original Transporter box in a full vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

With increasing competition, Foodora desired a series of personally engaging mobile billboards to intimately target demographics where they live/hang out, whether parks, city streets and events across Canada.

Our Solution

Since time was of the essence, we suggested the Babboe Transporter with a vinyl wrap. We provided all specs on the box to Foodora's graphic designer and assembled-and-shipped the final results to markets in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal

MARRIOTT HOTEL - TORONTO, ON

Mobile Kiosk

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with standard box modified with counter-top, hot-plate, sink, and fold-out countertop .

The Initial Problem

Toronto's downtown Marriot needed a way to engage clients walking into front-of-the-hotel, on the street, and at events.

Our Solution

Countertop space was an absolute requirement here so our team designed a fold-out leaf that extended the length of the bike. This freed up the countertop space on top of the box for a sink and hot plate while allowing generous storage beneath.

DURHAM COLLEGE - TORONTO, ON

Brand Engagement Vehicles

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog using standard box with custom made table-top for flat countertop space.

The Initial Problem

Durham College wanted a way to engage students on issues of health and wellness but needed a way to engage students in a compelling way while engaging them where they hang out.

Our Solution

While we seriously considered the Babboe Transporter, the lid and side-panels on the Transporter slope downwards, causing a non-flat countertop space. Instead, we used the Babboe Dog (which has squared-off side panels) and worked with our team to design a flat-top countertop insert at very low added cost.

AURORA PUBLIC LIBRARY - AURORA, ON

Bookmobile

The Design:

x1 Babboe Dog with standard box modified with hinged countertop and two fold out leaf tables.

The Initial Problem

Aurora Public Library wanted to take their bookmobile off the curb and into the park and everywhere else people hang out but cars can't go into.

Our Solution

As we have done for most bikes that require a flat countertop we recommended the Babboe Dog and our team added a lid (on a gas damper) that could move and up and down quickly to grab storage beneath. Then, to increase countertop space we worked with our team to build two fold-out leafs. A brilliant success, the bicycle Bookmobile has been a hit and can be seen in the summertime at parks and events.

KRAVE JERKY - ACROSS CANADA

Brand Activation

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original Transporter box in a full vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

Based in Sonoma, California - Krave makes culinary beef-jerky that is high in protein and uses no artificial ingredients. The kind of stuff we eat after a long bike ride! Krave wanted to put their product in front of an urban demographic who know that cargo bikes are as cool as beef jerky made right.

Our Solution

Krave worked with the Mint Agency and our team on a high-impact, unforgettable brand activation that could weave through streets and parks, and events both indoor and outdoor. Timeline was of the essence here, but so was brand impact. We suggested a vinyl wrap and turned the whole project around in under two weeks.

KICHISSIPPI BEER - OTTAWA, ON

Bicycle bar

The Design:

x1 Babboe City with custom box featuring Oak keg built on chassis and solid oak countertop.

The Initial Problem

Probably the most breathtaking example of where imagination can take you. Kichissippi Beer is a great micro-brew out of Ottawa that wanted to take it's beer to the streets, whether that was weddings, events, or what-have-you.

Our Solution

Kichissippi worked with our partners Tall Tree Cycles in Ottawa to design what must win the award for most innovative cargo bike ever. Featuring a real oak keg, custom CO2 canister, solid oak table with beer tap and a box in the back for glassware this design only demonstrates that the sky is the limit.

ALIGHT SOLUTIONS - SAN DIEGO, CA

Trade Show Booth

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original box and vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

Alight Solutions is a Illinois based company that provides Human Capital and  Management Consulting. They wanted a noticable way to stand out in a trade-show full of cookie-cutter booths.

Our Solution

We recommended a Babboe Transporter and worked with Alight's graphic designer to print and wrap the box in vinyl. From here we assembled the box to the bike and then palletized the bike and shipped the bike fully tuned and ready to the Trade Show delivery doors.

WHOLE FOODS - VANCOUVER, BC

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original box and vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

As a leader in sustainable groceries, Whole Foods wanted an ecologically sustainable engagement vehicle to take to the streets and events.

Our Solution

We wrapped a Babboe Transporter in custom vinyl to make the ultimate brand vehicle. Then, we professionally assembled the bike and box, professionally tuned it, and shipped it to Vancouver in a very big box to ensure damage free delivery and ready-to-ride fun.

COCA COLA - TORONTO, ON

Brand Activation

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original box and vinyl wrap. Freezer bags inside to keep drinks cool.

The Initial Problem

Canada's Wonderland is like the Disneyland of the Great White North. There are Canadian-themed rides like the "Muskoka Plunge" and "Soaring Timbers" and no, not everyone wears flannel. But, everyone gets thirsty and Coca Cola wanted a way to sell its Vitamin Water to thirsty patrons who need a quick on-the-fly refreshment.

Our Solution

Coca Cola approached our team early in the winter to get everything dialed in, although the turnaround was less than a week. We provided the bike and the box specs which they gave to their marketing team. The marketing team designed a great looking vinyl wrap that was an instant success!

COMMUNE COFFEE - TAMPA, FL

Mobile Coffee Location

The Design:

x3 Babboe Dog with standard box modified with counter-top lid. Sanded and stained with cold-brew tap installed and CO2 and storage below.

The Initial Problem

Commune’s goal was to build and integrate community by curating special events, each shared over a great cup of coffee. Problem was, they didn’t want to just be in one place, they wanted to seamlessly integrate from event to another, and from one neighborhood to another.

Our Solution

Working alongside a bike store in Tampa, we sold three cargo bikes to Commune and Co. While we have the internal resources to consult, build, brand and ship your custom project, we can also ship the bikes (assembled or unassembled) as raw material for your own creative team.

SPACING MAGAZINE - TORONTO, ON

Mobile Retail

The Design:

x1 Babboe Big modified with flat countertop and fold-out table-top to extend merchandise surface. Storage underneath.

The Initial Problem

Spacing Magazine is a critically acclaimed Canadian magazine that focusses on urban infrastructure, architecture, and public space. Spacing needed a brand vehicle that could host events and visit events and could sell their magazines and cool merch in a compelling and inviting way.

Our Solution

One of our first clients, we helped develop a mobile retail kiosk that – using fold-out leafs – could double the width of a cargo bike and offer generous retail space. .

WESTBANK INC - TORONTO, ON

Community Engagement

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with complete vinyl wrap.

The Initial Problem

Westbank is a large, socially-engaged developer based in Vancouver BC whose properties include the Shangri-La Hotel and many iconic properties. While developing a new cycling-friendly building, Westbank wanted an engaged face-to-face brand vehicle that represented the values of the development and the corporation itself.

Our Solution

With time and cost as a factor, we worked with our graphic designer to create a high impact solution. By choosing to vinyl wrap a standard Babboe Big we built a highly engaging brand vehicle that required very little customization and was very low cost to set up.

GALLERY STRATFORD - STRATFORD, ON

Art Bike

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter painted with chalkboard paint!

The Initial Problem

Gallery Stratford is based in the artsy town of Stratford, Ontario - hope to Canada's largest Shakespeare festival and full of great shops and galleries. Gallery Stratford wanted a fun way to bring art into the community, but it had to be mobile!

Our Solution

Why not make the bike the art itself? We sold Gallery Stratford a standard Babboe Transporter and shipped it to their front door completely assembled and tuned. From there, they painted the bike in black chalkboard paint so that kids (and adults) could have fun making art that rolls all over town.

TORONTO BOTANICAL GARDENS - TORONTO, ON

Brand vehicle and "botanical bar"

The Design:

x1 Babboe Big with e-assist and standard box and die-cut vinyl decals.

The Initial Problem

The Toronto Botanical gardens is a gem outside of the downtown core that few downtowners even know about. To build awareness, the Toronto Botanical Gardens decided to bicycle their business downtown. The problem is that Toronto is built on a gradual hill, and, with a sprawling population of nearly six million, Toronto is big city with lots of space to cover.

Our Solution

We suggested a Babboe E-Big, their 250W electric-assist bike to cover the hills and distance. Then, we worked with their team to creat a visual forest of die-cut leaves that make the Botanical bike a moving billboard. Today you can find the Botanical bike at many events, some where they even serve their amazing botanical-infused cocktails.

LA BAGUETTE - REVELSTOKE, BC

Bicycle bar

The Design:

x1 Babboe Big with e-assist and custom box with refrigeration installed on chassis.

The Initial Problem

Like many of our other clients, La Baguette wanted to take its gelato to the street, partly to build brand awareness and partly because good business means you come to the customer! Great idea, but the problem is that Revelstoke is smack dab in the middle of the Canadian Rockies and that meant a ton of steep, steep grades.

Our Solution

Working with Revelstokes Flowt bikes and a custom cabinetry worker (who built the gorgeous box and trailer), the re-vamped Babboe Big has two 350W electric motors (in each front wheel) powered by a battery in the trailer (that also keeps the gelato cool). A custom metal frame was built overhead that supports a canopy.

ING BANK - TORONTO, ON

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Nihola Family bike, repainted by Toronto's VeloColour.

The Initial Problem

Under a new business plan, ING wanted to spread the message that spending money wisely is saving money, and they wanted to model this by modelling better transportation solutions.

Our Solution

ING wanted something that really stood out so we worked with local frame painter Velocolour (consistently voted best in North America) to create a stunning statement. The bike is used daily to pick up supplies for the ING Cafe as well as events around town.

INNOCENT SMOOTHIES - LONDON OLYMPICS

Brand Engagement Vehicle

The Design:

x5 Pashley 33 Cargo Bikes (since replaced with the Babboe Big)

The Initial Problem

Recently acquired by Coca Cola, Innocent Smoothies wanted to make a statement at the London Olympics with a mobile kiosk that could move seamlessly from place to place while being an unmistakable head turner.

Our Solution

It may be a bit strange that a bike store in Toronto helped sell bikes that went to the London Olympics, but this was as fun as it was a phenomenal success. We worked with Pashley to build the bikes to spec and delivered the bikes on time and on budget. Since then we've moved away from Pashley to Dutch and Danish cargo bikes, which represent a notable evolution in quality and price.

PILOT COFFEE - TORONTO, ON

Cold Brew Kiosk/Delivery

The Design:

x1 Bullitt Cargo Bike in White

The Initial Problem

To launch their Cold Brew (which unlike regular coffee is pre-made) Pilot wanted to get the word and the product out, whether in parks or at events. Bonus points if it could also be a vehicle for errands around town.

Our Solution

Doesn't get much simpler than this. Pilot uses the Bullitt cargo bike mounted with Bullitt's optional Convoy box. The bike can be parked upright at events with the double-kickstand and nothing beats its speed for errands around town. Plus, it's probably the coolest moving billboard there is!

SENDIT COURIER - TORONTO, ON

Package Delivery

The Design:

10+ Bullitt Cargo Bike, built with derailleur and internal options, multiple colours.

The Initial Problem

Sendit is a Toronto based courier co-op composed of bicycle couriers that wanted to move from small package (envelopes, etc) to larger packages (from food to Endy Mattresses). Obviously, a regular bike wasn't going to cut it.

Our Solution

There is no better bike for zippy courier deliveries than Bullitt. Bullitt is made for monetizing time and distance. The high-performance handling and durable frame means it can cut corners with maximum efficiency and hop curbs without worry. With over ten Bullitts in their fleet (and growing), SendIt is proof that in urban gridlock, a bike is cheaper, faster, and a far better billboard than a van or truck. (In fact, we use Sendit every week!)

FEAST INC - TORONTO, ON

Food Delivery

The Design:

x15 Babboe City with custom insulated box with hinged lid and grab-and-go shelves installed on chassis.

The Initial Problem

Feast is Toronto-based food-based tech start-up. Unlike Uber Eats or Foodora, where delivery time is lengthy due to cook-time and delivery distance, Feast offers a rotating menu – created by top chefs and ingredients – delivered to you in under 15 minutes. But, how to store food and keep it warm or cold?

Our Solution

We sold Feast fifteen two-wheeled cargo bikes with a custom hot-and-cold insulated box designed and built by our cabinetry expert. Due to late-night and four-season deliveries, we made upgrades to the bikes including top-level Shimano roller brakes and a battery-free dynamo lighting system. Today the unmistakable Feast bikes are seen throughout town, a rolling billboard that literally delivers.

NOT FAR FROM THE TREE - TORONTO, ON

Food Transport

The Design:

x15 Babboe City with original box and die-cut vinyl decals.

The Initial Problem

Not Far From The Tree is a Toronto-based NGO that has – since 2008 – picked 127,679 pounds of fruit from homeowners who don't have time to pick their own fruit. Fruit is picked by volunteers and shared with Food Banks across the Greater Toronto Area. The organizers considered a van but they could only afford one and needed multiple areas served at a time, what to do?

Our Solution

We sold Not Far From The Tree a fleet x15 two wheeled cargo bikes for less than the cost as one van. Our graphic designer worked with their team on the graphic design and application. Today the bikes are seen everywhere around Toronto, loaded with apples, pears and apricots – a joyful sight for an organization whose mission is to give back and promote sustainable living.

FOODY FIT - TORONTO, ON

Food Delivery

The Design:

x2 Babboe City with custom insulated box installed with grab-and-go shelving inside and pamplet holders on top.

The Initial Problem

Foody Fit produces and delivers healthy food to the corporations in Toronto's tech alley and downtown business core. With an offsite kitchen nowhere near the delivery sites they needed a branding vehicle that could attract more business while conducting business.

Our Solution

We worked with Foody Fit to build two custom Babboe City bikes with lockable insulated boxes (note the beautiful wooden hot-plate) designed by our cabinetry contractor. Working with our graphic designer, we designed and placed the die-cut vinyl logos that create a professional, eye-catching statement.

BROTHERS FOOD & WINE - TORONTO, ON

Food Pick-up & Delivery

The Design:

x1 Babboe Transporter with original box and die-cut vinyl decal tastefully applied.

The Initial Problem

Brothers is one of the most talked-about new additions to Toronto's culinary scene. Started by two friends, the focus is farm-to-table menu's with a locavore slant and a big focus on wine rather than cocktails. Brothers needed a low cost, highly efficient vehicle way to cut through gridlock when picking up groceries or supplies. Bonus points if it could also be a brand vehicle too!

Our Solution

We explored nearly every avenue (custom box, vinyl-wrap,etc) with Brothers and finally realized that simpler is better, kind of like the restaurant itself. This is an out-of-the-box Babboe Transporter bike with no customization, and yet it's a showstopper. A simple sheep logo adorns the side, and when the bike is not in use, it becomes the best sandwich board you could ever imagine.

HUNDRED ACRES - NYC

Food Pick-Up

The Design:

x4 Babboe City with original box and die-cut vinyl decals applied.

The Initial Problem

Hundred Acres is a NYC institution that focusses on local and seasonal ingredients and shares the same vision as Cookshop, Vic’s and Rosies – all of whom are under the same ownership. Committed to sustainable practices, Cookshop wanted a vehicle that reflected its locavore values while also cutting through New Yorks impassible gridlock.

Our Solution

We worked closely with our New York partner store to assemble and deliver Hundred Acres four cargo bikes, each used by the family of restaurants to pick up fresh ingredients. Today the bikes are seen all over the streets and Instagram accounts the world over!

CAMBRIDGE SUITES HOTEL - TORONTO, ON

Pick-up Vehicle and Fleet Bike program

The Design:

x1 Babboe City with original box painted black and die-cut vinyl decals applied.

The Initial Problem

The Cambridge Suites Hotel is a boutique hotel right in the middle of Toronto's most famous gridlock, a place that is great for cycling but terrible for driving. They needed a quick inexpensive way to pick up supplies without buying a van (and sitting in traffic forever), bonus points if it also attracted a lot of attention and conversation too!

Our Solution

We supplied the Cambridge Suites Hotel with a stock out-of-the-box Babboe city that we made very visually striking by painting the box and applying their logo with white die-cut vinyl lettering. A very simple, highly-effective project with rapid turnaround.

ALGONQUIN RESORT - SAINT ANDREWS, NB

Pick-up Vehicle

The Design:

x1 Babboe City with original box and die-cut vinyl decals applied.

The Initial Problem

The Algonquin resort by the sea is a famous old railroad hotel that offers quiet, luxurious getaways on the beautiful coast of New Brunswick. While the roads here are quiet, the resort wanted a branding piece that integrated the hotel into the local community. Guests staying at the hotel can always take joy in seeing the bike picking up groceries and supplies in town.

Our Solution

We supplied Algonquin Resort with an out-of-the-box Babboe City which they logo'd up easily with die-cut vinyl lettering. For this kind of job we ask for a hi-res logo so that our graphic designer can send a placeholder image so the design can be perfectly tweaked. After that we work with our local vinyl sign maker to make beautiful die-cut logos that we attach and then deliver.

SHANGRI-LA HOTEL – TORONTO, ON

Fleet Bikes for Hotel Clients

The Design:

x10 Simcoe Bikes with custom branded coat-guards.

The Initial Problem

The Shangri-La is a five star Hotel in downtown Toronto that wanted to give their clients the ability to engage with Toronto the same way any fashionable Torontonian would - by bicycle! Shangri-La wanted a subtle brand statement that let their customers feel like an elegant part of the landscape. And, for the sake of provenance, bonus points if the bike could also be from Toronto.

Our Solution

We collaborated with Toronto's Simcoe bikes to create an accessible, one-size-fits-all bike that was as durable as it is sartorial. By using coat-guards we sourced from Europe, we put the Shangri-La branding front and centre while keeping things visually clean and subtle. Since this project we've moved from Simcoe to Achielle, a brand that offer far more technical value for the price.

Culture Link

Bike Host Program

The Design:

x100 Simcoe Bikes with Bike Host decal

The Initial Problem

Perhaps two things make Toronto truly great. One, it is a city of immigrants. Second, it's a great city to bike in. Culture Link links both together in their Bike Host program, a program that lets adults and teens learn and engage their city with Bike Host mentors. But, they needed a bike that was safe, accessible, comfortable as well as low maintenance and long-lasting.

Our Solution

In the past five years we have sold Bike Host over 150 bikes, most of them Toronto-designed Simcoe bikes that feature low maintenance gears, unisex step through frames, strong rust and chip resistant finishes, and barrier-free clothing protection combined with luxurious upright comfort. Since this project we've moved from Simcoe to Achielle, who offer more quality and technical value for the price.

KATE SPADE - ACROSS USA

Custom Branded Bike

The Design:

x100 Abici Bikes (since replaced by Achielle).

The Initial Problem

Wanting to capitalize on the bicycle boom and integrate themselves firmly into the social capital of this landscape, Kate Spade approached our NYC retailer with a proposal for x100 special bikes made just for Kate Spade.

Our Solution

Working with Abici bikes, New York retailer Adeline Adeline and Kate Spade we delivered 100 custom painted Kate Spade bikes in a fresh green colour that represented the brands Spring Launch and were available for sale across the USA. While we've since moved away from Abici bikes, we can offer better quality, selection and customization with Achielle bikes.

TOP SHOP - NYC

Custom Branded Bike

The Design:

x10 Bobbin Birdies with dot decals and Top Shop logo applied.

The Initial Problem

With just two weeks away from launching in NYC, TopShop executives realized the strong social capital of bicycles in NYC and saw an opportunity to direct traffic to their new flagship store in a fun, engaging way.

Our Solution

With such short notice we quickly assembled a fleet of Bobbin bikes, tuned them up, and delivered them fully built to TopShop HQ. While we've since moved away from Bobbin Bikes we can offer more selection, quality and prices with brands like Achielle.

TYKES N TOTS - HAY RIVER, NWT

Daycare Errands and Adventure

The Design:

x1 Babboe Curve with original box and die-cut vinyl decals applied.

The Initial Problem

Tykes N Tots wanted an eco-conscious and fun way to take up to four kids to the park or pick up groceries and supplies while making a great moving billboard.

Our Solution

Tyke's & Tots was proof that no place is too far for us to deliver! Located in Hay River, near the Arctic circle, we sent the bike straight to the front door of Tykes & Tots 100% assembled, tuned and ready to ride.

DRAKE HOTEL - TORONTO, ON

Fleet Bikes for Hotel Clients

The Design:

x4 Achielle Craighton with custom license plates.

The Initial Problem

The Drake Hotel is an institution on Toronto’s Queen Street West, a once run-down property that functions like as cultural hub in Toronto’s hip West Queen West neighborhood. Toronto is a fashion-forward city that cycles and Drake wanted its guests to share in that cultural capital. However, they needed a one-size-fits-all approach and a product that was both highly aspirational and accessible.

Our Solution

Our travels in Holland revealed that most men and women ride step-through frames, a cultural sophistication that also offers an aspirational, one-size-fits all approach. We also knew a Dutch bike is iconic, inviting, and joyful to ride. The high level of clothing protection provide accessibility, the upright position a high degree of safety and the low maintenance a trouble-free lifetime investment.

CITY OF TORONTO - TORONTO, ON

Fleet Bikes for Employees

The Design:

x10 Achielle Craighton with custom coat guards.

The Initial Problem

The City of Toronto has numerous satellite offices within several miles of city hall. However, inter-office travel meant expensive rides in taxi cabs on the taxpayers dollar – especially considering downtown gridlock. A durable, one-size-fits-all approach was needed.

Our Solution

We offered the city a fleet of ten Dutch bikes that featured durable rust-resistant frames, full clothing protection, and an upright and safe riding position. The short distances between offices was bridged with a long-term healthy, efficient and progressive solution that cost less than one years taxi receipts.

CAUSEWAY WORK CENTRE - OTTAWA, ON

"RightBike" Public Bike Share

The Design:

x3 Babboe Big with original box, painted with die-cut vinyl decals.

The Initial Problem

The Causeway Work Centre gives opportunity to disadvantaged people by providing employment and skills training, much of it bicycle repair. Causeway wanted to launch a program that could build and sustain an ongoing need for their employees skills while offering a service to the community. Working with local libraries, Causeway lends out cargo bikes to citizens who want to pick up groceries or wants to take friends and families out for a day in the park.

Our Solution

We supplied Causeway with a fleet of Babboe Big cargo bikes. While we usually insist that our bikes are delivered professionally built and serviced, Causeway wanted to teach new skills. We helped their mechanics as the bikes were put together - and they did a great job!

WATERFRONT MONTESSORI - TORONTO, ON

Bicycle Schoolbus

The Design:

x1 DeRedding Bicycle Schoolbus, imported from Holland.

The Initial Problem

The Toronto Islands are a (relatively) car-free series of islands with a small population of socially conscious residents. The Montessori’s existing schoolbus was on its last legs and in need of replacement. However, with such a small student body even a small motorized schoolbus didn’t make sense, neither from a cost or capacity perspective – so they walked in and asked if we ever heard of a bicycle schoolbus.

Our Solution

And, we certainly did! With a deep list of contacts throughout Europe we approached Holland’s De Redding and inquired about their nine-passenger pedal-powered schoolbus. Using our wide experience with ocean and ground logistics we imported De Reddings KDV model schoolbus which has happily served children of Toronto’s Island since. If you’re after something as unique as a bicycle schoolbus, we can help!
