When it comes to buying a childseat, your mantra needs to be safety first. And, BoBike has passed many, many safety tests.

The most basic of these is the EN 14344 test, which is necessary for all childseats sold in the EU. But, BoBike seats have also passed the rigorous TUV and GS tests. But, no test is more extreme than Germany's Stiftung Warentest, which reproduce daily usage by actual people using the safety seat to tackle daily city commutes.

So, why does Bobike pass all these tests? Because, unlike all other childseats, Bobike uses a unique double-walled design to ensure optimum protection. This adds extra safety and impact resistance that no other seat can beat.

Plus, Bobike is still made in the EU for optimum quality. Yep, you can't beat that!

Real Safety For The City

Frame Mounted Safety

What makes a childseat safe? Double-walled impact resistance is one thing, but the primary concern is how the seat mounts to your bike.

Most childseats mount to a rear rack. That is not ideal. Bobike seats mount directly to the frame using four thick machine bolts. The seat is easy to quick-release and the rail offers nice suspension too!

Need to mount the bike to a rack? Each Bobike rear seat still comes with a backup rack mount too. Just make sure your rack is ISO 11243:2016 35KG Max Load Certified.

The BoBike One - Choose Your Colour!

The Original

BoBike is the original child seat, first designed in Holland in 1953. Today, Bobike remains the first choice for millions of Dutch cyclists. Today BoBike is still 100% made in the EU, with a state-of-the-art factory and testing facility based outside of Lisbon.
