THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Convinced that Last Mile Delivery in congested urban areas is best handled by bike, FedEx joined several seminars hosted by the Pembina Institute that provided data, success cases, and cargo bike onboarding for North American freight providers (we provided research on a white paper, gave several presentations, and hosted several demos at each seminar).
OUR SOLUTION
This was a researched choice. FedEx needed something that was incredibly durable, commercial grade quality, narrow enough to squeeze through gridlock, and high performance enough to shave cents off every mile or every corner. They chose the legendary Larry vs Harry (aka: Bullitt) bike with a Shimano E6100 motor, Nexus 5sp internal gear hub, and Gates Belt drive.

Unlike FedEx Express who handle air shipments - which tend to be smaller packages - FedEx Ground needed a last mile solution with much larger cargo capacity. The design had to be durable and proven with a focus on low maintenance.
OUR SOLUTION
Designed in collaboration with PostNL and TNT Express, the Trike XL is a product designed by Babboe, the world most experienced cargo bike manufacturer. A tadpole design (two wheels in the front, not back) the Trike XL is stable in corners with a low center of gravity. Sendit Courier - Toronto, ON

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Sendit is a Toronto based courier co-op composed of bicycle couriers who wanted to move from small package (envelopes, etc) to larger packages (from food to Endy Mattresses). Obviously, a regular bike wasn't going to cut it.
OUR SOLUTION
There is no better bike for zippy courier deliveries than Bullitt. Bullitt is made for monetizing time and distance. The high-performance handling and durable frame means it can cut corners with maximum efficiency and hop curbs without worry. With over ten Bullitts in their fleet (and growing), SendIt is proof that in urban gridlock, a bike is cheaper, faster, and a far better billboard than a van or truck. (In fact, we use Sendit every week!)
NRBI - Toronto, ON

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
NRBI is a 'hyper-local' logistics shipping company that concentrates on last-mile deliveries. Whether same-day point-to-point parcel delivery or hub-and-spoke butcher shop delivery (they partner with Toronto's finest butcher shop), NRBI needed a bike that could cut through traffic while cutting down costs.
OUR SOLUTION
NRBI needed a large box to accommodate to handle all variety of package sizes, from small package butcher-shop deliveries to large parcels. And, no bike is better for this than the Centaur Trike. The Centaur Trike has a massive 900L box, and because it is a "Tadpole trike" (there are two wheels in the front, rather than the back), it's design is made for speed and cornering - making it the perfect larger cargo bike to monetize volume, speed and distance.
JWEL Delivery - Vancouver, BC

Under contract to Amazon, JWEL wanted a bike that could handle last-mile delivery and could carry the standardized Amazon Totes.
OUR SOLUTION
Nothing beats the Bullitt for proven bike messenger use across the Universe. Vancouver's big hills required an electric-assist motor and JWEL wanted something extra low-maintenance. The choice was a Bullitt E6100 with a low maintenance internal gear hub and even lower maintenance Gates belt drive. JWEL designed their own clever (and modular) frame that stacked the totes, allowing for quick packing and unpacking.

With increasing competition, Foodora desired a series of personally engaging mobile billboards to intimately target demographics where they live/hang out, whether parks, city streets and events across Canada. Space for large catered events was also key.
OUR SOLUTION
Since time was of the essence, we suggested the Babboe Transporter with a vinyl wrap. We provided all specs on the box to Foodora's graphic designer and assembled-and-shipped the final results to markets in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal
Pilot Coffee - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

To launch their Cold Brew (which is pre-packaged and easy to transport) Pilot wanted to get the word and their product out, whether in parks or at events. Bonus points if it could also be a vehicle for errands around town.
OUR SOLUTION
Doesn't get much simpler than this. Pilot uses the Bullitt cargo bike mounted with Bullitt's optional Convoy box. The bike can be parked upright at events with the double-kickstand and nothing beats its speed for errands around town. Plus, it's probably the coolest moving billboard there is!
Radish Co-op - Montreal, QC

Radish is a Montreal-based delivery co-op that is under contract to a variety of restaurants across the city for food delivery. They needed a bike that could handle larger volumes than the typical backpack delivery cycles, but could still deliver with the same speed and efficiency.
OUR SOLUTION
Montreal's potholed streets and dense gridlock required a durable solution that could squeeze through traffic and power up hills. And, nothing performs this task better than a Bullitt. With its narrow (44cm wide) chassis, the Bullitt can squeeze into the same tight spaces as a regular bike with plenty of space to pack food. THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Feast is Toronto-based food-based tech start-up. Unlike Uber Eats or Foodora, where delivery time is lengthy due to cook-time and delivery distance, Feast offers a rotating menu – created by top chefs and ingredients – delivered to you in under 15 minutes. But, how to store food and keep it warm or cold?
OUR SOLUTION
We sold Feast fifteen two-wheeled cargo bikes with a custom hot-and-cold insulated box designed and built by our cabinetry expert. Due to late-night and four-season deliveries, we made upgrades to the bikes including top-level Shimano roller brakes and a battery-free dynamo lighting system. Today the unmistakable Feast bikes are seen throughout town, a rolling billboard that literally delivers.
Foody Fit - Toronto, ON

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Foody Fit produces and delivers healthy food to the corporations in Toronto's tech alley and downtown business core. With an offsite kitchen nowhere near the delivery sites they needed a branding vehicle that could attract more business while conducting business.
OUR SOLUTION
We worked with Foody Fit to build two custom Babboe City bikes with lockable insulated boxes (note the beautiful wooden hot-plate) designed by our cabinetry contractor. Working with our graphic designer, we designed and placed the die-cut vinyl logos that create a professional, eye-catching statement.

Cambridge Suites Hotel - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Cambridge Suites Hotel is a boutique hotel right in the middle of Toronto's most famous gridlock, a place that is great for cycling but terrible for driving. They needed a quick inexpensive way to pick up supplies without buying a van (and sitting in traffic forever), bonus points if it also attracted a lot of attention and conversation too!
OUR SOLUTION
We supplied the Cambridge Suites Hotel with a stock out-of-the-box Babboe city that we made very visually striking by painting the box and applying their logo with white die-cut vinyl lettering. A very simple, highly-effective project with rapid turnaround.
Hundred Acres - New York, NY
THE DESIGN:

Hundred Acres is a NYC institution that focusses on local and seasonal ingredients and shares the same vision as Cookshop, Vic’s and Rosies – all of whom are under the same ownership. Committed to sustainable practices, Cookshop wanted a vehicle that reflected its locavore values while also cutting through New Yorks impassible gridlock.
OUR SOLUTION
We worked closely with our New York partner store to assemble and deliver Hundred Acres four cargo bikes, each used by the family of restaurants to pick up fresh ingredients. Today the bikes are seen all over the streets and Instagram accounts the world over!
Alqonquin Resort - Saint Andrews, NB
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Algonquin resort by the sea is a famous old railroad hotel that offers quiet, luxurious getaways on the beautiful coast of New Brunswick. While the roads here are quiet, the resort wanted a branding piece that integrated the hotel into the local community. Guests staying at the hotel can always take joy in seeing the bike picking up groceries and supplies in town.
OUR SOLUTION
We supplied Algonquin Resort with an out-of-the-box Babboe City which they logo'd up easily with die-cut vinyl lettering. For this kind of job we ask for a hi-res logo so that our graphic designer can send a placeholder image so the design can be perfectly tweaked. After that we work with our local vinyl sign maker to make beautiful die-cut logos that we attach and then deliver.
Brothers Food & Wine - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Brothers is one of the most talked-about new additions to Toronto's culinary scene. Started by two friends, the focus is farm-to-table menu's with a locavore slant and a big focus on wine rather than cocktails. Brothers needed a low cost, highly efficient vehicle way to cut through gridlock when picking up groceries or supplies. Bonus points if it could also be a great sandwich board too!
OUR SOLUTION
We explored nearly every avenue (custom box, vinyl-wrap,etc) with Brothers and finally realized that simpler is better, kind of like the restaurant itself. This is an out-of-the-box Babboe Transporter bike with no customization, and yet it's a showstopper. A simple sheep logo adorns the side, and when the bike is not in use, it becomes the best sandwich board you could ever imagine.
