It's a tough world out there and to battle it, it's always good to know your enemy. Truth is, most bad guys out there aren't looking for good bikes; they're looking for bad locks. A recent McGill study showed that most bicycle theft is constituted by low-reward in exchange for low-risk (you can read more about this here). About 90% of street theft is related to inexpensive street drugs. Cable locks are cut with cable-cutters and cheap U-locks are bent open with crowbars. Higher risk attacks with grinders are extremely rare. Here are the locks you need to keep your bike secure.

Protect against overnight wheel-theft! The keyed Pitlock axle nuts lock your wheels onto the bike and only your key will remove them.
Economical option that secures wheels from thieves. Key is a non-standard tool which (unlike Pitlocks) you're betting the thief doesn't have.

In the city of Toronto, front and rear lights and a bell are required by law and are strictly enforced and of course, also make sense for safety! From removeable lighting options to permanent ones, we have you covered. Did you also know that reflective tape is required by law? While not that enforced, it is a smart idea! Put some on the front and rear of the frame for extra visibility.
