City of Toronto - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The City of Toronto has numerous satellite offices within several miles of city hall. However, inter-office travel meant expensive rides in taxi cabs on the taxpayer's dollar – especially awful when stuck in downtown gridlock. A durable, one-size-fits-all approach was needed.
OUR SOLUTION
We offered the city a fleet of ten Dutch bikes that feature durable rust-resistant frames, full clothing protection, and an upright and safe riding position. The short distances between offices was bridged with a long-term healthy, efficient and progressive solution that cost less than one year's taxi receipts.
Walper Hotel - Kitchener, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Walper Hotel is a Kitchener institution that dates from 1893 and serves the bustling "Silicon Valley North" of the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Close to Google and dozens of other tech companies, the Walper wanted a small bike fleet to connect their customers to the wide network of bicycle trails and amazing urban opportunities that downtown Kitchener offers.
OUR SOLUTION
Unlike Chinese-made bikes that require huge minimum order quantities for any customization, we worked with Belgium's Achielle to produce a beautiful, handmade bike that is as low-maintenance and comfortable as it is stylish. Custom coat-guards were added and logos were tastefully applied on the head-tube and chainguard. Bikes were delivered on-time and on-budget to rave customer reviews!
Mr C Hotel - Manhattan, NY
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
New York is a terrific town to ride around, especially if you're a hotel near Battery Park on the Westside Cycle Path with connections to Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Lower Manhattan. Mr C wanted a fleet of bikes in small numbers that embodied the luxury, comfort, and old-world European style that their hotels are famous for.
OUR SOLUTION
The beauty of Achielle is that they can produce quality, highly customizable bikes with low minimum quantities, fast turnarounds and reasonable pricing. Together, we worked with Mr C and Achielle, providing Mr C design ideas, mockups, and a finished product that went well beyond expectations. The bikes were delivered fully assembled, tuned and ready to ride.
Shangri-La Hotel - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Shangri-La is a five-star hotel in downtown Toronto that wanted to give their clients the ability to engage with Toronto the same way any fashionable Torontonian would - by bicycle! Shangri-La wanted a visible yet understated brand booster that would let their customers do the talking.
OUR SOLUTION
We collaborated with Simcoe bikes to create an accessible, one-size-fits-all bike that is as durable as it is sartorial. Branding was front and centre but at the same time clean and subtle. Since this project we've moved from Simcoe to Fahrradmanufaktur and Achielle, two brands that offer even more technical and aspirational value for the price.
Culture Link - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Two things make Toronto truly great. One, it is a city of immigrants. Second, it's a great city to bike in! Culture Link brings both together in their Bike Host program, an initiative that lets adults and teens learn about and engage with their city alongside Bike Host mentors. They needed a bike that was safe, accessible, and comfortable, as well as low maintenance and long-lasting.
OUR SOLUTION
In the past five years we have sold Bike Host over 100 bikes, most of them Toronto-designed Simcoe bikes that feature low maintenance gears, unisex step-thru frames, strong rust and chip resistant finishes, and barrier-free clothing protection combined with luxurious upright comfort. Since this project we've moved from Simcoe to Fahrradmanufaktur and Achielle, two brands that offer even more technical value for the price.
Drake Hotel - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Drake Hotel is an institution on Toronto’s Queen Street West, a once run-down property that functions as a major cultural hub in Toronto’s hip West Queen West neighbourhood. Toronto is a fashion-forward city that cycles and The Drake wanted its guests to share in that cultural capital. They needed a one-size-fits-all approach and a product that was both highly aspirational and accessible.
OUR SOLUTION
Our travels in Holland revealed that most men and women ride step-thru frames, a cultural sophistication that also offers an aspirational, comfortable ride. A true Dutch bike is iconic, inviting, and joyful to use. The high level of clothing protection provides accessibility, the upright position offers a high degree of safety, and the low maintenance components promise a trouble-free lifetime investment.

Kichissippi Beer - Ottawa, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Probably the most breathtaking example of where imagination can take you. Kichissippi Beer is a great micro-brew out of Ottawa that wanted to take it's beer to the streets, whether that was weddings, events, or what-have-you.
OUR SOLUTION
Kichissippi worked with our partners Tall Tree Cycles in Ottawa to design what must win the award for most innovative cargo bike ever. Featuring a real oak keg, custom CO2 canister, solid oak table with beer tap and a box in the back for glassware this design only demonstrates that the sky is the limit.
Edmonton International Triathlon - Edmonton, AB
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Edmonton International Triathlon is one of the oldest and largest triathlons in Canada, held in the beautiful prairie city of Edmonton, Alberta. What the EIT needed was a bike that could double as brand engagement vehicle and a registration vehicle, a tabletop on wheels!
OUR SOLUTION
Since a tabletop and storage was required, we suggested the plug-and-play Babboe Transporter, that already comes with a flat lid and plenty of room for equipment. We wrapped the bike in a striking vinyl and delivered it fully built and assembled to EIT's front door.
Whole Foods - Vancouver, BC

As a leader in sustainable groceries, Whole Foods wanted an ecologically sustainable engagement vehicle to take to the streets and events.
OUR SOLUTION
We wrapped a Babboe Transporter in custom vinyl to make the ultimate brand vehicle. Then, we professionally assembled the bike and box, professionally tuned it, and shipped it to Vancouver in a very big box to ensure damage free delivery and ready-to-ride fun.
Cycle Toronto - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Cycle Toronto is Toronto's strongest lobby for bicycle infrastructure and runs multiple guerrilla campaigns to engage new and existing cyclists. But, how to tote around fencing, signage, tents, and supplies to each event?
OUR SOLUTION
After much consideration, Cycle Toronto decided on an e-assist Bullitt since it's the best bike for long distances staff and volunteers often have to ride. It also matches the orange of the Cycle Toronto logo! You can see the Cycle TO Bullitt all around town toting all manner of paraphenelia, from metal fencing for their popular bike valet program to T-shirts and pamphlets.

THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Montessori House of Learning in Sackville loves to take their little customers on local adventures, and what better way to do that than by bike? Montessori needed a bike with enough capacity to make sure everyone could go along for the ride!
OUR SOLUTION
The Nihola 4.0 cargo bike fit the bill perfectly. At only 80lb, it's about 40% lighter than competing options. That means it still feels light to ride, even with four kids. And, it carries four kids! (Five kids if you add a rear child seat). Best of all, this bike keeps kids safe with it's impact resistant box composed of steel frame and Lexan plastic.
Waterfront Montessori - Toronto, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Toronto Islands are a (relatively) car-free series of islands with a small population of socially conscious residents. The Montessori’s existing schoolbus was on its last legs and in need of replacement. However, with such a small student body even a small motorized schoolbus didn’t make sense, neither from a cost or capacity perspective – so they walked in and asked if we ever heard of a bicycle schoolbus.
OUR SOLUTION
And, we certainly did! With a deep list of contacts throughout Europe we approached Holland’s De Redding and inquired about their nine-passenger pedal-powered schoolbus. We imported De Reddings KDV model schoolbus which has happily served children of Toronto’s Island since. If you’re after something as unique as a bicycle schoolbus, we can help!
New Leaf Home - Queensville, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
Transporting people with developmental disabilities usually means using a van, or a car. But, what if you want to use a bike? New Leaf is located on a large farm and much of its programming focusses on the outdoors, so a green mobility device that could engage residents in fresh air was essential.
OUR SOLUTION
Nihola is a Danish company committed to expanding bicycle types to the widest possible inclusion of users, including, in this case, those who are in wheelchairs. The Nihola Flex is a remarkable machine, with a ramp and tie downs that bring joy and fresh air to its users. We provided New Leaf with an electric assist version.
Gibraltar Point Day Nursery - Toronto, ON

The Gibraltar Day Nursery is a Daycare located in the Toronto Islands Public School, a school on a car-free island where residents are committed to green living. So, how to pick up the kids from the ferry?
OUR SOLUTION
The Babboe Curve fits four kids into an impact-resistant wood box that has lots of room for backpacks and coloring books. The Curve offers a wide range of gears in a very low maintenance package, and it's great for short commutes and long adventures!
Tykes N' Tots - Hay River, NWT

Tykes N Tots wanted an eco-conscious and fun way to take up to four kids to the park or pick up groceries and supplies while making a great moving billboard.

Tyke's & Tots was proof that no place is too far for us to deliver! Located in Hay River, near the Arctic circle, we sent the bike straight to the front door of Tykes & Tots 100% assembled, tuned and ready to ride.
Selkirk Mental Health Centre - Selkirk, MB
THE DESIGN:

The Selkirk Mental Health Centre has several divisions, one which focusses on geriatric care and another on rehabilitation. To offer their residents (and staff) a way to develop programs in the great outdoors required a mobility device that took health and the outdoors seriously.

Causeway Work Centre - Ottawa, ON
THE DESIGN:

THE INITIAL PROBLEM
The Causeway Work Centre gives opportunity to disadvantaged people by providing employment and skills training, much of it bicycle repair. Causeway wanted to launch a program that could build and sustain an ongoing need for their employees skills while offering a service to the community. Working with local libraries, Causeway lends out cargo bikes to citizens who want to pick up groceries or want to take friends and families out for a day in the park.
OUR SOLUTION
We supplied Causeway with a fleet of Babboe Big cargo bikes. While we usually insist that our bikes are delivered professionally built and serviced, Causeway wanted to teach new skills. We helped their mechanics as the bikes were put together - and they did a great job!
