The ABUS Urban 3.0 MIPS Helmet is a celebrity! One of the best-known helmets in Germany, it's fine-tuned exactly what cyclists need in a helmet in its third generation of design - including four sizes to fit riders with small or big noggins.
The Urban 3.0 MIPS features extended temple coverage to protect the softest part of the skull in case of a side-fall onto a curb, and the addition of MIPS technology ensures the Urban 3.0 keeps up with modern helmet technology. It uses an inner shell that allows for 10-15mm of rotational relief, drastically reducing the rotational force of an impact - a major culprit for brain injuries and concussion even when the helmet's foam prevents impact damage.
An integrated rear light provides visibility up high on the body so drivers can see you even in the middle of rush-hour traffic, and reflective detailing on all four sides ensures you're seen in the dark of night. Bug netting keeps flies and wasps out of your helmet on fast descents. The helmet includes a Fidlock magnetic buckle to avoid pinches or unnecessary fiddling, and the adjustable dial at the rear features space to keep a ponytail in place while wearing the helmet. A minimalist black finish keeps things low-key in urban environments (every outfit colour scheme goes with black!).
