ON-SITE BICYCLE REPAIR - WE COME TO YOU!
COMING SOON! STAY TUNED.
This is a new service so please work with us and feel free to offer any helpful advice or comments! Launched in collaboration with Today Bicycle Repair, our on-site repair service is operated on contract with Chris Simonen, Curbside's #1 bicycle mechanic. Many don't know that Chris is the man behind the scenes, fixing your bike - and while he continues to work at Curbside, he's hitting the streets on his own venture; which we are thrilled to support. Chris brings over ten years of experience to the job and can work on any quality bike. For this reason, we ask that you don't book this service for any department store bike or any bike older than 1990, since these often have outdated or impossible-to-find parts.
How does it work? You pay a $20 non-refundable fee that covers travel time and the premium for on-site service. From there, Chris will assess your bike, arrange a price, and all further payment will be made by e-transfer to Today Bicycle Repairs. Today Bicycle Repairs is responsible for warranty on all repairs performed and offers a seven day warranty period for repairs performed.

FRIENDLY, SKILLED & PROFESSIONAL!
Our Mechanics are as special as Curbside : While most bike stores carry sporty bikes (mostly for for men), our mechanics are an inclusive bunch of specialists who fix an inclusive range of bikes! Whether your bike is old or new, a city bike, cargo bike, folding bike, or e-assist bike, and no matter what technologies - belt drives, hydraulics, dynamos, internal gears, drum brakes - we know how to keep your bike performing and you the rider safe!
In a basic tune up we will go over your whole bike, right to left. Check amount of wear on tires, brakepads, drivetrain; check for movement and grease on seatpost and quill stems; check handlebar clamp bolts; check wheel trueness and spoke tension, check axle nuts or quick releases; eliminate tightness or looseness in hubs, headset, bottom bracket; check pedals, crank bolts; check all accessories; brake pad and brake caliper positioning, brake cable tension; cleaning, lubrication of drivetrain; derailleur positioning and limits, gear cable tension.
What if it rains?
If you have a dry place to work like a porch, terrace, or garage, we can do the repair there. If not, we'll have to reschedule.
What if there's a global pandemic?
As of writing, bicycle repair is considered an essential service. We insist to remain at a 2m distance from other people. Just unlock your bike and step away. If requested, bike and any cash payments will be disinfected with isopropyl alcohol after service. Payment may also be made by etransfer.
