Topeak's Whitelite HP Beamer is the answer to no-muss, no-fuss front lighting.
It has 3 super-bright white LEDs to provide 100 candelas of light. With two lighting modes (constant or blink), the 2x AA batteries will last between 30-60 hours and a low battery indicator will let you know when to swap them out before you're left in the dark.
IPX6 water-resistance keeps the lights bright even in snow or showers, and a quick-removal bracket means you can bring it inside to keep safe from thievery or light your route from your backyard to the front door.
